The official premiere of the documentary, which took place as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the iconic hotel, took place on the significant date of 9 April, in a packed Pallas Theatre.
The choice of the film’s screening date was not a coincidence, as it coincided with the 150th anniversary of 9 April 1874, when businessmen Savvas Kentros and Efstathios Lampsas signed the official contract to jointly operate the Hotel Grande Bretagne.
Bringing the story to life with the voice of Pavlos Tsima, who was in charge of the editorial and narration, and with music composed by Minos Matsas, the film highlights the timeless relationship between Great Britain and the development of Athens.
