On Holy Monday, April 14, 2025, at 20:30, renowned singer Glykeria will present the performance “O Glyki Mou Ear and the Songs of Spring” at the Pallas Theater. At the heart of the evening lies the heartrending lament of the Virgin Mary, one of the most powerful and moving hymns of Holy Week, where human sorrow meets divine suffering.
In a deeply spiritual atmosphere, Glykeria will interpret Byzantine hymns and Holy Week lamentations, offering a unique musical journey through both sacred and human passions.
The program will also include handpicked songs celebrating Greek spring, capturing nature’s rebirth in its sweetest and most radiant hour. She will be joined on stage by Pantelis Thalassinos, Haris Makris, the Spyros Lamprou Children’s Choir, and a large orchestra. The esteemed actor Leonidas Kakouris will recite emblematic passages from works of Greek poets and authors, curated by Christos Promiras.
