Madam Sousou with Dimitra Papadopoulou at Pallas Theater

The popular comedy by Dimitris Psathas, MANTAM SOUSOU will be the opening performance of the Pallas for the 2017-2018 season, produced by Theatrical Scenes, which now takes over the management of the historic Athens Theatre.
MANDAM SUSOU will be presented in a production directed by Yannis Kakleas and with text by Dimitra Papadopoulou in an extravaganza full of laughter, emotion, nostalgia, satire and lots of music!
The dreamy Sousou lives in the muddy neighbourhood of Bithoulas, with her husband Panagiotakis. But she dreams of greatness and wants to escape misery by creating her own parallel universe.
But what happens when the dream becomes reality? How much distance finally separates Bytthoula from Kolonaki? What role will the mysterious Minas Kantakouzenos play? What price will our heroine have to “pay”?
The title role will be played by the great Dimitra Papadopoulou, who returns to the stage after a long absence to give flesh and bones to the famous megalomaniac heroine of Dimitris Psathas who was adored by many generations of Greeks.
She is joined by Alkis Kourkoulos as Minas Kantakouzenos, Kostas Koklas as Panagiotakis and 25 other actors and musicians.
MANDAM Sousou started as a cheerful article in the magazine Family Treasure in 1939, became a book, a revue number, a play, a film, a radio show and twice a TV series, always with great success.
