“With Love…for ELIZA” An inspiring evening for children!

THEATER SCENES, on the occasion of the International Day Against Child Abuse, organize on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, a special musical evening at Pallas Theater with Kostis Maraveias, Panos Mouzourakis and Mariza Rizou. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to ELIZA – Society Against Child Abuse, which stands by abused children all over Greece. The organization recently founded the first hospital-based Child Safety Care Unit “Sophie Varvitsioti” in Greece, under the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic, at the Children’s Hospital “P. & A. Kyriakou”. Detailed information about the actions and aims of ELIZA will be presented by Marie Konstantatou.

We will all be there for the children!

The special awareness and giving event “With Love … for ELIZA” of the Theatrical Scenes on November 19 will support the “SAFE FINGER” program.

“Safe Touch” is an initiative for children 5-9 years old, implemented by ELIZA in schools, with the aim of preventing sexual abuse. The main objective of the programme is to help young children to recognise the difference between “safe” and “not-safe” touching and to learn to say NO. At the same time, the programme offers a corresponding training for parents and teachers to raise awareness, identify and respond to the phenomenon.

The ultimate goal is to integrate the programme in all public schools in Greece by 2021, combined with a comprehensive information campaign for parents, teachers and citizens.

For a project that saves lives, ELIZA receives no financial support from a governmental source and relies solely on the trust and love of society.
