Masterclass at Pallas Theater
November 8, 2021 @ 9:00 pm - February 4, 2022 @ 11:30 pm
Start: 8 November 2021
End: 4 February 2022
MASTER CLASS by American author Terrence McNally will continue its journey for the fourth year at Pallas Theater. From Monday 8 November and every Monday and Tuesday, for a limited number of performances, Maria Nafpliotou will bring back to life the legend of the sensational Greek woman who was the greatest voice of the 20th century and whose name was Maria.
With another Maria in the central role, the imposing and sensual Maria Nafpliotou, who embodies, and herself in her prime and maturity, the great diva, in the contemporary hypocritical spirit, in a generational dialogue with the archetypal model of the great artist. The translation of the play is by the poet Stratis Paschalis, who wanted to remain faithful to both the style and the letter of the original text, preserving its nerve, energy, caustic humour and passion. “Master Class” is directed by the acclaimed actor and director of the younger generation, Odysseas Papaspiliopoulos.
MASTER CLASS continues its journey, for a limited number of performances, having already broken every previous record, with more than 300 sold out performances in Athens, Thessaloniki and Cyprus, from its premiere in 2018 until today.
