Stamatis Spanoudakis presents his new album at Pallas Theater

At Pallas Theater, on 29 & 30 October 2018, at 9:00 pm, Stamatis Spanoudakis will present his new album entitled “Psyche mou, don’t bend”.

“A lyric from 2003 that becomes a song, that becomes an album, that becomes a concert. A “conversation” secret that calls to the inner life and to avoiding the daily traps of the “world”. A music that is sweet but also manly, a melodic breath to what troubles and frightens us. To what is happening around and within us. Intentionally and unintentionally”, Stamatis Spanoudakis emphasizes.

“Greeks, heads up! The sayings of our ancestors that “blood, tears and sacrifices ask for you”, the “Awesome Protection”, the comfort that is generously given to us and the eternal presence that asks persistently, but gently, to finally open the door of your heart. A concert, then, with new songs and old favorites, in a “wrong time” that proves to be so appropriate for those who “fight the good fight”, concludes the well-known creator.

With him:

the string orchestra “Tamalo”, with Alexandros Papadiamantis (violin) and Dimitris Kottaridis (cello) as soloists,

Panos Katsikiotis (drums), Nikos Hatzopoulos (double bass), Giorgos Kontovas (piano)

the four-voice choir “Melodoi” conducted by George Ziakas,

and the Spyros Lambrou Children’s Choir.

The proceeds of the concert will be donated to the children’s institutions of the Holy Metropolis of Singapore and South Asia. Specifically, it will be given for the education, housing and medical care of 1,000 children in Medan, Indonesia, where the Holy Metropolis operates 5 schools (kindergarten, elementary, middle school, high school, polytechnic school), a boarding school and a hospital. With this care, children from the slums of Medan are rescued from gangs, abuse, drugs and crime, and educated so that they can live as adults in their homeland and not be forced to take the dangerous path of illegal immigration.
