Slava’s Snow Show at Pallas Theater
April 5, 2023 @ 9:00 pm - April 9, 2023 @ 11:30 pm
The “most interactive show on planet Earth”, a groundbreaking, spectacular extravaganza with magnificent melodies, exquisite lighting and stunning effects. A legendary mime show that for 40 years has been a must-see in New York City, thrilled audiences of all ages create suffocating sell-outs on international tours, and critics hail it as “the best family show ever seen by the public.”Set against the backdrop of Antarctica and the “clown-penguin” society where the travelling Slava takes refuge, an atmospheric, dreamlike show unfolds, its bittersweet humour touching on all human emotions.
Unsurpassed performances, antics and banter, effortlessly bring out and generously spread laughter and joy, in a unique interactive context with universal audience participation, from which even an unprecedented simulation of a real snowstorm is not absent.
The atmosphere created is fantastic! The environment is poetic, the aesthetics of the performance are beyond criticism. Stunning lighting, spectacular special effects, incredible inventions and ideas make up a dreamy stage setting.
Ships sailing through seas of blinding fog, giant cobwebs envelop the theatre – and with the help of the audience, umbrellas swirl in the air drenching, bubbles float, clowns fly chasing them, brooms sweep by themselves, coats “come alive” and become people, balls inflate by flying, a “Northern Lights” appears in the distance, bright moons and stars frame a vast, nostalgic, night, starry sky!
Somewhere in there the first snowflakes start to fall, soon they become thousands and then it “sets” properly!
Shortly afterwards, the polar blizzard erupts, with a powerful wind raging, pushing the snowflakes into the hall, creating a veritable pandemonium.
In this “crazy” and beautiful performance there is also no intermission, nor any conventional finale. The action never stops!
