“The Millionairess”, the emotional comedy by George Bernard Shaw, with the eternal triptych “Love – Money – Happiness” as its central theme, directed by Yannis Kakleas, will be staged at Pallas Theater.
Eleonora Zouganeli assumes the eccentric millionaire’s eponymous role, while Nikos Kouris plays the leading role of the idealistic doctor.
They are joined on stage by a group of fine actors including Vassilis Koukouras, Ivan Svitailo, Marilou Katsafadou, Vassilis Tsigristaris, Rozamalia Kyriou, Stratos Lykos, Katerina Susoula, 10 other actors and dancers and a live orchestra.
Yannis Kakleas’ multi-faceted staging, in a brand new adaptation by Vassilis Tsigristaris and himself, gives a fresh look at “Millionaire”, in a musical theatre performance that moves masterfully between the “lines” of romantic comedy and socio-political satire, while at the same time retaining all the characteristics of a spectacular theatrical extravaganza, with original live music.

Alongside Yannis Kakleas, an experienced team of artists collaborates. The highly experienced Manolis Pantelidakis who takes care of the sets, the talented Ilenia Douladiri who signs the costumes and Stella Kaltsou who puts her stamp on the design of the lighting. The original music is signed by Vaios Prapas, a prominent representative of the new generation of Greek composers, while the lyrics are written by the always unconventional Sunny Balti, creator of dozens of hits. The orchestration is by Alexios Priftis and the choreography is by Stefania Sotiropoulou.
