Directed by: Asterios PeltekisOn the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the Inspection, “Pull the anchors” is a retrospective on the theatrical genre of the Inspection, as captured through the insightful eyes of Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppa. The play was staged in 1997 by the National Theater in order to pay homage to this misunderstood theatrical genre.

With a nostalgic atmosphere but also with a lot of humour, Vira the Anchors is a fiction inspired by the history of the place, combining music, dance and song in a unique project, which was loved by the audience from its first presentation.
