SUMMARY:The Life and Legacy of Stratos Dionysiou
DESCRIPTION:Privileges at Club Pallas\n \n\n\n\n\n\nA tribute to the legendary voice of Thessaloniki\, Stratos Dionysiou\, will be presented at Pallas Theater in March 2025. \nWhere does one begin to recount the story of Stratos Dionysiou? \n \nThe way he held the microphone was unmistakably his own—a signature gesture that became synonymous with his artistry. His voice\, a pure and soulful expression of Greek folk tradition\, required no theatrics or embellishment. It carried the essence of the great folk songs—those\, as poet Thodoros Gkorpas so eloquently described\, that “resemble birds—black\, proud\, desolate\, beautiful\, and betrayed.” \n \nTimeless masterpieces like “Apokimithika” (I Fell Asleep)\, “Pigéne Me Ópou Théleis Taxitzí” (Take Me Wherever You Want\, Taxi Driver)\, “Ta Píres Óla Kai Éfyges” (You Took Everything and Left)\, “Páre Ó\,ti Théleis Palantzí” (Take Whatever You Want\, Junk Dealer)\, “O Salonikiós” (The Man from Thessaloniki)\, “Kýrios Írtha Kai Kýrios Févgō” (I Came as a Gentleman\, I Leave as a Gentleman)\, “Vrékhi Fotiá sti Stráta Mou” (It’s Raining Fire on My Path)\, and “Ákou Re Fíle” (Listen Here\, My Friend) illuminated Athenian nightlife and remained eternal pillars of Greek music. \nStratos Dionysiou was more than a celebrated artist; he was the Lord of the Night\, a titan of the recording industry\, and a cultural icon. \nHis bond with his audience was profound—a blend of admiration\, respect\, and deep connection. Despite the turbulence of his personal life\, his fans remained steadfast in their loyalty to “The Man from Thessaloniki\,” celebrating his triumphs and preserving his legacy with unwavering devotion. \nDirector Vasilis Mavrogeorgiou will bring this monumental life story to life on stage\, exploring the defining moments of Dionysiou’s extraordinary musical journey and personal struggles. \nThe production will feature electrifying live performances of his greatest hits\, complete with the zeibekiko dances and folk melodies that once filled nightclubs and set hearts ablaze. \nStratos’s sons—Angelos\, Stelios\, and Diamantis—will share the stage in rotation\, performing alongside acclaimed composer Music direction: Nikos Stratigos. Thanasis Polykandriotis\, whose music played a pivotal role in shaping Dionysiou’s repertoire. \nThe text of the performance belongs to Konstantinos Samaras.\nStage designer: Giorgos Gavalas\, Michalis Saplaouras\nCostume designer: Alexia Theodoraki\nLighting designer: Stella Kaltsou\nChoreography/ Movement: Paris Mantopoulos \nThe main role of the incarnation of the late singer is left to the talent of Yannis Tsortekis. \nNext to him – heroes of Stratos’ life\, Maria Kechagioglou\, Yannis Dalianis\, Bessie Malfa\, Michalis Alikakos\, Chrysa Klouva\, Dimitris Machairas \nParticipating actors: Marinos Tarnanas\, Dimitra Stavrou\, Dimitris Galanakis\, Evgenia Karnou\, Roxani Karfi\, Leonidas Bakalis\, Giorgos Dimopoulos\, Stathis Georgantzis\, Aliki Georgiou. \nFrom March 12\, 2025\, Pallas Theater will be transformed into a temple of music and memory\, celebrating the life\, artistry\, and enduring influence of the one and only Stratos Dionysiou—the eternal Lord of the Night. \n  \n*The production company reserves the right to increase or decrease ticket prices at its sole discretion. SUMMARY:Johnny Logan - Concert at Pallas Theater
DESCRIPTION:Privileges at Club Pallas\n \n\n\n\n\n\nJohnny Logan\, fondly known as “Mr. Eurovision” by fans of the contest and the media\, is coming to Greece for the very first time. \nPallas Theater\, \nMonday\, March 24 & Tuesday\, March 25\, 2025 \n21:00 \nPallas Theater is preparing an all-star lineup of events for the 2024-2025 season\, and one special evening belongs to the one and only Johnny Logan\, making his debut in Greece. \nAs the artist with the most wins in Eurovision history\, Logan is a true legend. He’s a three-time champion: twice as a performer\, with the unforgettable “What’s Another Year” (1980) and the iconic “Hold Me Now” (1987)—a track that not only clinched second place on the UK charts but also became a global bestseller. \nHis third win came as a songwriter\, penning the 1992 Eurovision-winning song “Why Me”. \nFor over four decades since those triumphs\, Logan has continued to record music—releasing 40 singles and 19 albums—and perform successfully across Europe. \nMore recently\, his career has been marked by double platinum CDs in Scandinavia and successful releases in Germany\, Austria\, and Switzerland. \n2024 marks a new chapter for Johnny Logan\, with the release of his latest album\, “It Is What It Is”. This new collection of 12 original tracks feels like a natural successor to “Hold Me Now.” The album was recorded live with real instruments and showcases a diverse range of musical styles\, from rock & roll to jazz\, while blending Irish sounds with Cajun influences. Notably\, the track “Full Moon Over Berlin” stands out with its jazzy undertones. \nSpeaking about the project\, Logan shared:\n“It took me a year to write this album and another year to record it\, but it truly was a labor of love. I’m prouder of this CD than anything I’ve worked on in the last 30 years.” \n“It Is What It Is”—the title says it all. This album represents Johnny Logan today: a voice that brings us timeless memories and vivid imagery. \nJoin us for an evening with this extraordinary artist\, whose melodic voice\, impeccable technique\, and heartfelt music will undoubtedly captivate and delight. \n  \n*The production company reserves the right to increase or decrease ticket prices at its sole discretion. SUMMARY:Legacy of Wayne Shorter
DESCRIPTION:Privileges at Club Pallas\n \n\n\n\n\n\n            “Apotheosis of the legendary Shorter by his closest collaborators & special guest …. A Coltrane!!!” \n\nA rare musical encounter\, experience and tribute awaits us at the Pallas Theater on Monday\, March 31.  Continuing the “In touch with the Jazz Masters” concert series\, a tribute to the precious musical legacy of an iconic jazz saxophonist and composer\, the legendary Wayne Shorter!   His closest collaborators – for over 20 years in his quartet – legendary pianist Danilo Perez\, top bassist John Patitucci and the amazing Brian Blade on drums\, who stood side by side with Shorter for over two decades until his death in 2023\, celebrate the colossal legacy this Jazz Master left behind.  They are joined by the incomparable saxophonist Ravi Coltrane\, son of another legend\, John Coltrane! \nIt would be hard to say whether 12 Grammy Award-winning Wayne Shorter was more influential in the course and history of jazz as a composer or as a saxophonist\, as in both\, he has been a beacon of creativity in mainstream\, modal jazz and fusion for over six decades.  He had a way – with his musical genius – of always drawing attention to himself\, whether in the 50’s era when he was part of Art Blakey’s Messengers\, or in his years alongside Miles Davis\, or as co-creator of the legendary fusion group Weather Report\, or of course with his quartet with Perez\, Patitucci & Blade over the last two plus decades. Whatever Shorter was involved with\, he always confirmed what everyone said about him\, namely that he was a musical genius\, one of music’s leading composers and a pioneer of music. \nPanamanian pianist Danilo Perez is one of the most influential and dynamic artists of our time. Activist\, artistic ambassador of his country\, with a huge social work for Latin America and Unesco Goodwill and Peace Ambassador\, this great pianist with many Grammy nominations and awards\, started in Dizzy Gillespie’s band\, worked with Roy Haynes\, Wynton Marsalis\, Cassandra Wilson and others. and went on to become Shorter’s closest collaborator. \nBassist John Patitucci ranks among the top contemporary musicians\, with a vast career that includes 20 Grammy nominations and 3 Grammy awards\, 16 solo albums and collaborations outside of Shorter with Chick Corea\, Pat Metheny\, Herbie Hancock\, Wynton Marsalis\, Stan Getz and others\, and has been a catalyst for hundreds of albums. \nThe third of the bunch\, the amazing drummer Brian Blade\, has for nearly three decades been one of the most sought-after musicians in jazz and beyond. Leader himself for a 25-year stint in one of the greatest jazz groups – the famed Brian Blade Fellowship – the Louisiana-born Brian\, in addition to W. Shorter\, has worked with Joshua Redman\, Chick Corea\, Christian McBride\, Joni Mitchell\, Bob Dylan and dozens of others. \nThis great Wayne Shorter tribute and corresponding tour is joined by another accomplished musician\, saxophonist\, composer and bandleader Ravi Coltrane!  A self-existent and unique musician who has great jazz in his genes\, being the son of the “god” John Coltrane and the iconic Alice Coltrane and has had an extraordinary career himself\, collaborating with artists such as Elvin Jones\, McCoy Tyner\, Kenny Barron\, Joe Lovano\, Terence Blanchard and others\, but also a rich discography. \nThis All Star band\, consisting of true Masters of contemporary jazz and with dozens of Grammy nominations gathered on stage\, will celebrate the work & musical legacy of the great Wayne Shorter on March 31\, 2025 at the Pallas Theater\, and all indications are that it will be the concert jazz event of the year!  We look forward to it ……. \nwww.daniloperez.com \nwww.johnpatitucci.com \nwww.brianblade.com \nwww.ravicoltrane.com \n\nDanilo Perez– Piano \nJohn Patitucci – Bass \nBrian Blade– Drums \nSpecial Guest : Ravi Coltrane– Saxophones \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets
