SUMMARY:LOLA
DESCRIPTION:Lola from Troumba\,” Lola from the cabaret district. \n“Lola of smoke.” “Lola of passion.” “Lola of music.” “Lola of emotion.” “Lola of life.” \nLykofos Cultural Organization proudly presents “Lola” for the first time on stage at the historic Pallas Theater. Lykofos has secured the rights to the iconic film “Lola” and brings to life — for the very first time in theater — the story that defined and marked an entire era. \nFrom January 30\, 2026\, and for only 20 performances\, the legendary heroine of Troumba\, Lola\, returns in a blaze of passion and emotion in a production that promises to captivate audiences. \nThen – “The Film That Marked an Era” \nIn the emblematic film noir by Dinos Dimopoulos\, written by Ilias Lyberopoulos\, a stellar cast defined a generation: Jenny Karezi\, Nikos Kourkoulos\, Pantelis Zervos\, Dionysis Papagiannopoulos. \nThrough a window\, Vicky Moscholiou sings “Tou Iliou Hathike to Fos” in one of the most iconic sequence in Greek cinema — and from that moment\, nothing would ever be the same. \nUpon its release\, Lola sold 313\,822 tickets\, becoming an instant legend. Sixty years later\, it remains one of the most atmospheric and influential films in Greek cinematic history. \nNow – Lola Returns to the Stage \nSix decades later\, all those “precious ingredients” — love\, the night\, the music\, and the fire that burns within — ignite once again\, this time on stage. \n“Lola” takes the stage of Pallas Theater\, adapted and directed by Christos Sougaris\, with a new generation of actors breathing life into this timeless noir. \nElli Triggou\, Giannis Stankoglou\, and Giorgos Gallos lead an exceptional ensemble in a powerful story of passion\, jealousy\, betrayal\, and love — the story of a woman fighting to stand tall amid chaos. \nLola does not dream of escape. \nShe dreams of survival. \nBy her side stands Aris — her great love\, a man haunted by the scars and mistakes of his past. Between them stretches the dark world of Troumba\, where choices are written in blood\, and love is as dangerous as a knife in the dark. \nLike modern-day Orpheus and Eurydice\, the two lovers fight to escape the underworld that has consumed them for years. But the “world of the night” does not forgive. \nAt night\, love manages to light up faces — if only for a moment. \nAnd then\, darkness returns. \n\nCast & Creative Team\nAdaptation / Direction: Christos Sougaris\nSet Design: Tina Tzoka\nCostumes: Eva Goulakou\nMusic: –\nMovement: Andi Tzouma\nLighting Design: Alekos Anastasiou\nStarring: Elli Triggou\, Giannis Stankoglou\, Giorgos Gallos\, Mariza Tsari\, Kostas Xykominos\, Tasos Sotirakis\, Konstantinos Seiradakis\, Panagiotis Ioakeim\,  and a 20-member ensemble cast.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS

SUMMARY:Stavros Xarchakos - “Me Tropon Entonos Erotikon”
DESCRIPTION:Stavros Xarchakos\nRecording Evenings No. 3: Five “Laika” Icons\n“Me Tropon Entonos Erotikon” – “in an intensely erotic manner”\nPallas Theater \n  \nStavros Xarchakos returns to Pallas Theater on Monday\, 2 February 2026\, for a single\, exceptional evening as part of his acclaimed series “Recording Evenings.” The third event in this landmark cycle is titled “Five Folk Icons – In an Intensely Erotic Manner” and will be presented as a live concert\, accompanied by simultaneous video and audio recording. \n“How can five emblematic figures of Greek music be presented ‘in an intensely erotic manner’? The answer lies in the unique relationship Stavros Xarchakos has cultivated with their work—a relationship defined by emotional intimacy\, creative identification\, and profound musical understanding. This approach goes beyond faithful interpretation\, conveying not only the notes themselves but also the spirit that brought them to life. \nThe “Recording Evenings” series began in 2023 with the legendary “Rebetiko” at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus\, continued in 2025 at the same venue with the luminous “Journey into the Light\,” and now moves to Pallas Theater to mark the start of the new year with a truly unrepeatable performance. \nThe performance “Five ‘Laika’ Icons – In an Intensely Erotic Manner” has already been experienced by thousands in selected theatres across Greece\, as well as at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 2019 and 2020. The program features works by five emblematic composers: Markos Vamvakaris\, Mikis Theodorakis\, Stavros Xarchakos\, Vassilis Tsitsanis\, and Manos Hadjidakis. \nAt the heart of the performance are Xarchakos’s distinctive and meticulously crafted orchestrations. Through them\, he not only highlights his own compositions but also illuminates—with deep respect and artistic daring—the works of the other emblematic composers. \nHe remains the only contemporary Greek composer to have devoted such a substantial part of his career to the study and celebration of the music of Vamvakaris\, Theodorakis\, Tsitsanis\, and Hadjidakis\, making his interpretive approach unique and invaluable. \nConducting an orchestra of outstanding soloists and performers\, Stavros Xarchakos offers a musical experience of rare intensity and emotional depth. The evening celebrates the roots and evolution of Greek music\, presenting melodies that have left an indelible mark and continue to resonate across generations. \nIt is an evening of shared emotion—one in which the audience sings together—and one that will become part of the enduring legacy of Greek music. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS

SUMMARY:VASILIS TSITSANIS - "Forever"
DESCRIPTION:VASILIS TSITSANIS \n~ forever ~\n\nTwo magical evenings at the Pallas Theater\nfor the most important creator of Greek folk music\n\nFebruary 10 & 11\, 2026\n\nPallas Theater\n\nThe music and songs of Vasilis Tsitsanis fill the Pallas Theater in the new year. With Yannis Stankoglou in the role of narrator and renowned artists Yannis Kotsiras\, Lena Kitsopoulou\, Rena Morfi\, Imam Baildi\, and Anatoli Margiola on stage\, the long-awaited narrative concert “Vasilis Tsitsanis Forever\,” marking the 110th anniversary of the birth of the most important creator of Greek folk music\, comes on February 10 and 11. Directed by Giorgos Papageorgiou\, with texts by Giorgos Skampardonis.\n\n On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Vasilis Tsitsanis\, a special narrative concert featuring prominent performers and actors on stage will bring the work and era of this leading Greek artist to life at the Pallas Theater for two nights only.\n\nComposer\, lyricist\, bouzouki virtuoso\, and singer\, Vasilis Tsitsanis was the most important creator of Greek folk music and folk songs of the 20th century. This artistic event\, taking place on February 10 and 11\, magically combines music with storytelling\, creating images that will transport viewers to another\, unique era.\n\nA journey through the timeless songs of Vasilis Tsitsanis\, which have never ceased to move listeners from different generations. Narrative elements will connect the past with the present in a “magical & dreamy” evening full of joy\, dedicated to a great Greek\, the man who changed Greek folk music forever. Directed by Giorgos Papageorgiou\, with texts written especially for this evening by Giorgos Skampardonis.\n\nVasilis Tsitsanis’ greatest hits are performed in classic renditions and covers by renowned artists\, including Yiannis Kotsiras\, Lena Kitsopoulou\, Rena Morfi\, Imam Baildi\, and Anatoli Margiola. Yiannis Stankoglou will be the narrator for the evening.\n\nTogether with the Vasilis Tsitsanis Orchestra\, curated by Manolis Pappos\, they will weave old and new sounds together\, creating a unique result that will connect the past with the present.\n\n\nWritten by: Giorgos Skampardonis\nDirection: Giorgos Papageorgiou\n\n\nSingers: Yannis Kotsiras\, Lena Kitsopoulou\, Rena Morfi\, Imam Baildi and Anatoli Margiola\n\nNarrator: Yannis Stankoglou\n\nOrchestra: Vasilis Tsitsanis\n\nMusic supervision by Manolis Pappos\n\nTHE GREATNESS OF VASILIS TSITSANIS’ UNIQUENESS THROUGH THE EYES OF GREAT GREEKS\n\nMANOS HATZIDAKIS – Tsitsanis\, a child of underground currents\, streetwise and rebellious\, with a Byzantine education from the psalmody he practiced in his village\, spread a sensitive eroticism throughout the country. He was great at a time when he did not suspect that he was great.\n\nShortly before the war of 1940\, Tsitsanis sang “My Lady\, Crazy Witch” for the first time. It was a brilliant composition\, I would say\, on the theme of love\, whose power and truth bring us closer to Kornaros’s “Erotokritos” and\, hundreds of years later\, to Lorca’s “Blood Wedding.” Its melodic line\, unimaginable in its conciseness and simplicity\, is reminiscent of Bach.\n\nMIKIS THEODORAKIS – Vasilis Tsitsanis has left a deep and lasting mark on our era with his work. How did this miracle happen\, and how did this child from Trikala\, who emigrated to Thessaloniki as a teenager\, transform the essence of our musical tradition in his soul and mind and give it back to us in new\, simple\, and perfect musical forms? But here we are\, an entire generation of musicians and poets\, recognizing you as our teacher. Tsitsanis is the Theophilos of Greek folk music.\n\nDINOS CHRISTIANOPOULOS – Tsitsanis found a song that was vulgar\, crude\, and despised; he found it on the lips of prisoners and felons\, in the slums of the market and the port—and he cleansed it of all obscenity and vulgarity\, he threw out the slang and idioms\, cut out the many twists and turns and Turkish motifs\, enriched his themes with social elements\, and made it embrace the passions and desires of the Greek soul.\n\n\nYANNIS TSAROUCHIS – Tsitsanis\, an eternal symbol of Greek music\, who with dance and song\, the poetry of words and body\, sweeps away all these constructs of Balkan respectability to give the Greek people the music that suits their beauty.\n\nNIKOS ENGONOPOULOS – His lyrics have depth and high-quality emotion. His lyricism is as powerful as it is genuine. His music is beautiful\, original\, and authentic. This man has suffered in life and knows it\, and he has the strength and the means to express it.\n\nDIONYSIS SAVVOPOULOS – Vasilis Tsitsanis is the only Greek revolution that succeeded\, without him even knowing it and without this revolution ever becoming a regime. A blessed man\, a blessed peacemaker. What Vasilis Tsitsanis achieved has not yet been achieved by our political life.\n\nA FEW WORDS ABOUT THE VASILIS TSITSANIS ORCHESTRA\n\n\nThe Vasilis Tsitsanis Orchestra was founded on the initiative of his family and Seed Point\, Vasilis Tsitsanis’ music publisher\, with the main purpose of presenting the work of this unique creator live. An orchestra for the composer\, lyricist\, bouzouki virtuoso\, and singer Vasilis Tsitsanis\, who took music from the margins and infused it with talent\, inspiration\, creativity\, and hard work\, creating folk songs that touched the hearts of all Greeks. By uniting East and West\, tradition and modernity\, he quietly but effectively managed to unite all Greeks\, achieving something that even today is not easy to comprehend. Tsitsanis’ deep need to communicate and be inspired by the world was fulfilled by his appearance on stage every night for 45 whole years and until the end of his life\, always accompanied by a great orchestra. This orchestra serves Vasilis Tsitsanis’ great love for the proper presentation of his songs. Under the guidance of Manolis Pappos\, a master of the bouzouki and a profound connoisseur of Tsitsanis’ work\, and accompanied by talented musicians\, will present his work as he himself defined it\, through his many years on stage and in recordings. In addition\, it will attempt what Tsitsanis himself would have done if he were alive\, collaborating with enlightened musicians/composers to present his songs in a new\, different way\, reintroducing us to this unique\, ingenious\, and generous Greek.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS
